Live Yaupon Plant (Schilling's Dwarf, "3)
Just in case you'd like to add some Yaupon to your garden, we are now offering live specimens for you to purchase! One type of Yaupon we grow on our farm is this cultivar, "Schilling's Dwarf." These little guys, (yes, they're all male), will slowly grow to about five feet. They can be pruned or left to assume a pleasing mound-like shape. Yaupon needs to be watered until established, but requires little care once it has made itself at home. Plant in full sun to part shade. If you decide to prune your Yaupon, maintain a rounded or mound like shape. Yaupon doesn't like to be shaped like a box! Once the plant has grown large enough, you can harvest some leaves to make your own Yaupon tea.
Most of these plants are about "3 tall. They are shipped in a small pot and are ready to be enjoyed. Plant outdoors up to USDA Zone 7. Enjoy as a potted plant in colder climates. These plants do best in part to full sun, and should be planted 2-3 feet apart.
